Add a brand

A brand is a domain you want AEO Owl to monitor. Each brand has its own question set (up to 10, editable anytime), competitor list (up to 5, editable anytime), and locked engine list — only engines lock the moment the first audit runs.

We'll ask AI engines about
This is the category you're measured in, read from your competitors. Every question asks who the best of these are, so if it's wrong the questions are pointed at the wrong market. Correct it and redraft.
How Owl drafts your questions

Owl drafts 10 questions as a controlled set, so the result shows you where you are visible and not just how visible. Five rules govern it:

  • One category, held constant. Owl reads your competitor list to work out what kind of thing you are (agencies, software, firms, brands) and asks about that one category in all 10 questions. It is shown above and editable, because if it is wrong then every question is pointed at the wrong market.
  • Never your own name. A question with your brand name in it is answered by the question itself, so it always cites you and permanently inflates your score. All 10 are unbranded.
  • Only the qualifier changes. Same noun, same "best", every time. That is what makes the ten comparable: a difference in visibility between two questions is down to the qualifier and nothing else.
  • Broad to narrow. Two questions on your widest category, about five on the customer segments in your ICP, and about three on the problems you are differentiated on. That is what turns one score into a map of where you are visible.
  • You own the final list. These are drafts, not commitments. Edit any question inline, delete the ones that miss, write your own — Owl just gives you a strong starting point.
